Let me be careful when I write this post.
I love Boone, North Carolina. It did take me a little time to grow into that love of this small mountain town but I truly do love it.

3 Things I Hate About Boone, North Carolina
1. Brutal Wind
You all know exactly what I am talking about. That breeze that comes during the winter season that feels like it cuts through your entire body. There is nothing worse than walking outside in the brutal Boone winter season with snow splattering your face. Although the snow is an awesome part of living in Boone, I could do without the wind.
2. Move-in Day at Appalachian
Don’t get me wrong. I really like the buzz that Appalachian State students bring to the town. I love living in a college town and all that comes with it… except the inevitable move-in day. On that day I lock myself into the house with all the essential supplies and stay as far away from Walmart as possible. There are only a few days that Boone, North Carolina has bad traffic and move-in day is certainly the worst.
3. No Target, Trader Joe’s, or Cabela’s
This is my biggest complaint: NO TARGET. I literally cannot go into Walmart in Boone. It is one of those places that drives me nuts! Somehow I believe that Target would be a completely different story. A Target store in Boone, North Carolina would be majorly welcomed by me!
What stores would you want to see in Boone, North Carolina?
BONUS: Scraping snow off your car on a cold Boone day stinks too!
