Welcome to Booneview.com, featuring our Famous Photo of the Day and Foodie Reviews. Today’s feature is all about Boone’s Best Pizza Places. This is the first post that we included our voting feature, where the voters were able to add Murphy’s to our list of top Pizza Places in Boone.
If you agree that these are the TOP make sure to comment “YES!!” If you have another suggestion for people to try make sure you leave that in the comments. Now on to the good stuff:

Primo’s, located in the Boone Mall, is locally owned and operated by Executive Chef Myleia Slagle, and her daughter, Beverly (Miller) Ward, both born and raised down the road in West Jefferson. Chef Myleia has well over a decade of experience preparing delicious food. Primo’s is a great place to take the family, with plenty of parking and a nice atmosphere. As seen below, their pizza features fresh toppings and comes out pretty quick. Take some time to stop into Primo’s this month to give them a try!
805 W King St, Boone, NC 28607
Although it is a chain, Mellow in Boone is locally owned and run. Claiming to be the “Originators of Southern Pizza,” Mellow Mushroom features eclectic pies with amazingly diverse toppings. You know this place is good based on the long lines out the door. Word to the wise: Be careful where you park downtown! Don’t want your car getting booted while you munch on tasty pizza.

**Before we posted the question, “Which of the following has the best pizza in Boone?” on Facebook… we had NO IDEA that Murphy’s had such a passionate following for their Pizza. Because of the huge response, we had to include this on our Best Pizza list! This place absolutely gets the PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD!! Take a look at what we found:
Murphy’s restaurant was founded in 1988 by Erik & Stephen Larson and Tom Phillip. It has been located in downtown Boone, NC since 1996. When my wife and I stopped in on a Saturday for lunch we were so surprised by the portions for the price. We both ate and had leftovers for lunch for under $20. The pizza was HUGE! The picture below features a pepperoni with some fresh basil and it was great! After trying this place we are recommending that you swing in and grab a pie for dinner one night. Good pizza for a Great price!

This is a Boone Original. Tucked away on King Street in Downtown Boone, this pizza joint has the feel of an old-school Pizza Parlor. The staff is fun and, most importantly, the pizza rocks! The thing we like most about this place is that you can get a personal pizza that is the perfect size to fill you up. No more arguing about what toppings to get on a shared Large Pizza! Capones is a great stop for a date night that won’t break your budget. Keep them on your list of places you need to try.
Special Hint: Get an order of Garlic Knots! They are OUT OF THIS WORLD. You can thank us later. 🙂
