5. Basil’s // The Nap Time
Salami, Capicola, Prosciutto, Fresh Mozzarella, Roasted Red Pepper, Onion, Arugula, Vinaigrette
Whole – $7.00
Classic Italian sandwich featuring Fresh Mozzarella and a tasty Vinaigrette. This sandwich is named the Nap Time and it is so filling it just might make you rest those eyes. We love it because Patrick, the owner of Basil’s, is making it fresh everyday with high quality meats, cheeses, vegetables, and bread. You can’t get much better than this!
4. River Street Deli // The Elvis
Peanut Butter, Bananas, and Bacon on Freshly Baked RSD (River Street Deli) Bread.
Whole – $5.75
This crazy sandwich really hits the spot on a beautiful High Country Saturday. Not too much peanut butter (perfect amount, actually)… The bacon and the sweetness of the bananas & peanut butter was PERFECT. Sweet and salty for the win!
3. Stickboy Kitchen // The Kluckin’ Kop
Grilled chicken, bacon, melted provolone, honey mustard, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato and red onion on toasted Stick Boy Sourdough
Whole – 7.99
I absolutely love this sandwich from Stick Boy Kitchen! All the ingredients are so fresh and so simple. Tasty grilled chicken cut in big slices paired with bacon… do I need to say more? Well it does come on freshly baked Stick Boy Sourdough that is good enough to eat on its own. One of my favorite things to eat in all of the High Country.
2. Our Daily Bread // Gouda Heavens!
Thinly Sliced Ham with Melted Smoked Gouda Cheese, Tomatoes, Organic Spring Greens on Grilled Sourdough.
Whole – 7.75
You can’t make a list of top sandwiches without including one with AWESOME cheese! This sandwich from Our Daily Bread is an amazing revamp of a normal ham and cheese sandwich, featuring melted Gouda cheese on fresh bread. When you pair this with some crisp chips or marinated vegetables it is hard to beat in any town! This sandwich is a must try!
